First Aid and CPR Public Workshop



  
 
Do you know what to do when an emergency strikes?
 
In An Emergency Seconds Count! Knowing what to do allows each of us to be in a position to help make a difference to the outcome - often, to people we care about. While you can’t predict when an emergency will occur, you can be prepared for it. By performing simple procedures and following certain guidelines, it may be possible to save lives by giving basic treatment until professional medical help arrives.
 
 
Hanniel Consulting was established in 2002, is an approved company registered under the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB/HRDF) specializes in providing quality First Aid, CPR, AED(Automated External Defibrillator) Certification Training Classes for Manufacturing, Construction, Oil & Gas Industrial, Healthcare Facilities, Childcare Centre,University Colleges and other Corporate Organizations in this country.
 
Participants will receive the highest quality information and training available to help prevent injuries, illnesses and fatalities in the workplace or home.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be able to:
 
  • Understand the basic first aid principles and emergency management in workplace.
  • Identify life-threatening medical conditions and establish priorities of treatment.
  • Identify common injuries at the workplace and how to deal with these injuries
  • Perform High Quality CPR or Basic Life Support skills for all age groups
 
 
 
Course Content
 
This course is conducted according to the standards and latest 2010 guidelines of the American Heart Association for Lay Rescuers and DOSH Guidelines on First Aid in the Workplace in Malaysia. The course outlines includes the following:
 
Emergency Action Principles: Scene Survey and Victim Assessment
Universal Precautions – Prevention of Disease Transmission and Personal Protection
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - Practical Hands-On by all participants
Obstructed Airway Management or Choking - Practical Hands-On by all participants
Medical Emergencies e.g. Shock, Unconsciousness, Seizure, Heart Attack and Stroke.
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) – AED use for sudden cardiac arrest victim
Injury Emergencies e.g. Management of Bleeding and Wounds, Burns and Scalds, Muscle and Bone injuries (Practical: Wound Dressing, Bandaging and immobilization.
 
Video Presentation on CPR/AED/Choking,Medical illnesses and Injuries Emergencies to enhance learning and understanding of all subjects. 
 
Practical hands-on components are supported by a variety of training materials such as:
Manikins for practicing CPR, Choking, AED Trainer, Barrier Devices for rescue breathing, Bandages and dressing materials, First Aid Kit contents usage and Oxygen therapy.
 
 
Course Speaker
 
Vivien Tan has 30 years of experience in nursing. She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing Practice Development from UK. Her past clinical experience includes surgical and medical nursing, cardiologist clinic, Accident & Emergency Rescue Department and Ambulance Dispatch Service. She is a certified instructor by the American Heart Association (AHA) and has since been a trainer for 18 years now specialize in giving First Aid, CPR and AED courses to many individuals and employees of various corporate industries include healthcare professionals throughout this country.
 
Course Fee
(HRDF-SBL 100% Claimable)
- RM 350 per participant
- Group of 3 or more: RM 300 per participant
 
Fee inclusive of training materials, meals (2 Tea Breaks and 1 Lunch) and one unit of CPR Barrier Device for emergency use.
 
Certificate and Course Completion Card would be issued upon successful completion of course(Valid for 2 Years).
 
Registration Policy
Complete the registration form and payment should be made before training to confirm your r registration.
 
Cancellation Policy
Fees paid are non refundable for cancellation of registration.
 
Replacement Policy
Registered participants who are unable to attend may send a replacement at no extra charge.
